GINGER EXTRACT 5%

Ginger is extracted from the rhizomes of a perennial herb Zingiber officionale that is indigenous to the southwest coast of India and the Malabar coast of the state of Kerala. Ginger was described as a medicinal plant and a spice in India and China long ago. It has long been part of folk medicine in many parts of the world as a carminative digestant and remedy for the common cold. Ginger acts as an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and cardiotonic. It is used as an effective analgesic, anti-pyretic, and anti-viral. Ginger is also used to reduce blood pressure and to prevent atherosclerosis.

Ginger Extract is a standardized powder with 5% gingerols. It is obtained from the rhizomes of ginger by alcohol extraction process.

Gingerols, the main compound in ginger is valued for its analgesic action as well as other therapeutic properties. It improves digestion, aids absorption and distribution of nutrients and medicines into the body, it is a powerful natural anti-emetic for morning, motion and post-anesthesia sickness and reduces the side effects of drugs. All of these properties have been proven by systematic research on ginger and gingerols published in different international journals.

Recommended dosage is 1 – 2 grams thrice a day with a glass of water.
