GAMMA ORYZANOL
Gamma Oryzanol is found to occur in rice germs and rice bran. Gamma Oryzanol
is a term generally assigned to compounds of chemical structures wherein
Ferulic Acid is connected to a steroid skeleton (sterol) through an ester
linkage. This naturally occurring material is used as an ingredient in drugs,
nutraceuticals, functional foods, and feeds, as well as cosmetics.
The nutrient effect and functions of Gamma Oryzanol have been gradually
clarified by animal experiments and clinical experiments. It has been found
that Gamma Oryzanol has the effect of accelerating growth and stimulating the
sexual glands of animals.
Gamma Oryzanol has a curative effect on general malaise caused by autonomous
nervous disorders and menopausal disorders in humans by demonstrating age
inhibiting effects on the functions of the lower part of the
thalamencephalon.
Gamma Oryzanol is also beneficial in cosmetic applications. Because it is
oil soluble, easily absorbed into the skin and has the effect of stimulating
blood circulation under the skin, it is recognized as an effective nutrient for
the skin.
