MATCHA POWDER
PRODUCT DATA
Matcha Powder is made of high-grade Japanese
green tea leaves cultivated with special care. It has a
fresh taste and natural vivid green color. Matcha Powder
can be used as a new refreshing flavor for beverages, dairy
products and confections.
The leaf of Matcha is rich in polyphenols,
vitamins, minerals, fibers, chlorophyll and L-theanine.
All of the health benefits of green tea can be found in Matcha.
Matcha is enjoyed not only for its taste but also as a beverage
to maintain health.
Traditional Matcha is ground slowly by a stone
mill in order to avoid friction and heat which can cause the
deterioration of its color and flavor.
Our Matcha Powder is prepared from high
quality fresh Matcha leaves by a unique processing technology in
order to obtain a very fine powder while maintaining the
original color and taste of the Matcha leaf.
Typical Matcha beverage formulations:
Matcha (traditional style)
Dissolve approximately 1 gram Matcha Powder
in 50 – 80 mL hot water (80°C). Stir well before drinking.
Matcha (sweetened – low calorie)
Dissolve approximately 1 gram Matcha Powder
and a non-calorie sweetener such as Aspartame (approximately
1.5% w/w) in 50 – 80 mL water (either hot or cold). Stir
well before drinking.
Matcha Milk
Dissolve approximately 1 – 2 grams Matcha
Powder in 50 – 100 mL hot water. Add 100 – 200 mL hot or
cold milk. Sweeten to taste.
Note: As Matcha Powder is a natural tea leaf
powder, and not an extract, it is generally not soluble.
Instant beverages should be vigorously mixed. Ready to
drink beverages should use an appropriate stabilizer to suspend
powder into liquid products.
